L-R: Candy, Melon |
This isn't the normal packaging for this line; I assume it's the Lilly Pulitzer special packaging, although both colors are part of their regular Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick range. If you're wondering why I keep using the full names, it's because, as I discovered when I looked at their website, Estee Lauder seems to really enjoy having many product lines/products with very similar names.
Top: Candy; Bottom: Melon |
Candy is the frostier of the two. It's a darker nude pink. It applied pretty smoothly and fairly opaquely. It's not as light as it appears in this photo, though it is very shiny (because of the frost finish).
Melon is also frosty, but the light doesn't reflect quite as starkly off of it. It's a fairly bright melon/coral/orange color, as the name would suggest. Not sure how well it shows in the photo, but it's a bit patchy on me, which for some reason is just an issue I have with a lot of orange lip colors.
Both colors are smooth and creamy to apply, a little thick, but not uncomfortably so. They stained my arm slightly. They have a slight, sort of artificial fruity scent to them, but it isn't noticeable once they're on the lips. Not a bad product, especially Candy, though I'm personally not really a fan simply because I don't like shimmer/excess shine in my lip products.
